Statistical analysis on mechanical behaviour of ternary blended high strength concrete

چکیده
The growing demand for high strength concrete [HSC] in the construction industry increases usage of cement, resulting environmental issues. Recent studies are showing that utilization cementitious materials can effectively reduce volume cement. In present study, ternary blended combinations were prepared using silica fume, and fly ash to attain HSC. Here, cement was partially replaced by fume [2.5, 5, 7.5, 10%] [5, 10, 15%], respectively. Mini slump cone test conducted identify compatibility paste with polycarboxylate ether [PCE] based superplasticizer. packing density aggregates calculated voids improve particle distribution An experimental investigation carried out, ultimate compressive obtained as 71.55 MPa at 28 days curing. Multi linear regression analysis simulate mix design aiding prediction

this research paper presents the use of wasteful supplementary cementitious materials like fly ash and silica fume to conserve the cement used in concrete. the cement industry is one of the major producers of greenhouse gases and an energy user. in this study, portland cement was used as a basic cementitious material. fly ash and silica fume were used as the cement replacements by weight. the r...
متن کاملA Study on Behaviour of Normal Strength Concrete and High Strength Concrete Subjected to Elevated Temperatures
Cement concrete is a complex mixture of different materials. Behaviour of concrete depends on its mix proportions and constituents when it is subjected to elevated temperatures. Principal effects due to elevated temperatures are loss in compressive strength, loss in weight or mass, change in colour and spall of concrete. The experimental results of normal concrete and high strength concrete sub...

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Mechanical Behavior of Hybrid Fiber Reinforced High Strength Concrete with Graded Fibers
Brittleness, which was the inherent weakness in High Strength Concrete (HSC), can be avoided by reinforcing the concrete with discontinuous fibers. Reinforcing HSC with more than one fiber is advantageous in an overall improvement of the mechanical performance of the composite. In this experimental study, Hybrid Fiber Reinforced High Strength Concrete (HyFR-HSC) mixes were formed by blending si...
